March 7, 1:00pm Pressing apples for cider half a year after harvest?  Yes!  Join us Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Quillisascut Farm School to press the last of 2009’s apples and enjoy a potluck dinner.  We will start cranking the grinders at 1 p.m.; the potluck starts at 3 p.m.  We will press about 1 bin of apples, which should yield about 20 gallons of sweet cider, 10 of which will be reserved to ferment into hard cider.  If you would like to participate in making part of a batch of hard cider, call Chris Loggers at 684-1216 for details.  Bring an empty jug to take some sweet cider home.  $5 Slow Food members and $10 non members to cover the cost of apples. 20 participant limit call 738-2011 to reserve  your spot.

Summer 2010 Visit our booth at the farmers market the third Wednesday at the Colville Farmers Market and the third Saturday at the Northeast Washington Farmers Market. In May we covered an assortment of edible greens. June was herbs and here is the schedule for the rest of the summer:
